Hypnosis Techniques--Understanding The Real Covert Hypnosis

The art of covert hypnosis is frequently misrepresented. The reason why so many covert hypnosis courses misrepresent hypnosis techniques is because the persuasion strategies portrayed are taken from therapy. This means that there are some covert hypnosis professionals teaching people that therapeutic language patterns can be taken outside of clinical settings and applied to the art of persuasion. This is completely erroneous. You cannot use hypnosis techniques that were designed for one function and apply them to an entirely different function. It is true that this is subject to debate, but what is even more true is that you can easily validate this for yourself by simply attempting to use therapeutic hypnosis strategies to persuade people outside of clinical settings. It will not take long for you to understand that you will not get results.
Most people, however, continue to use Ericksonian hypnosis for persuasion in spite of the fact they aren't profiting from these hypnosis techniques that were created for therapy. The main reason why they continue to keep trying is because they believe their lack of results is due to the fact that they have not learned the hypnosis techniques well enough. True, it does take quite some time to perfect Ericksonian hypnosis techniques, but no matter how much energy and time you spend perfecting Ericksonian hypnosis techniques, you will never be able to use this form of hypnosis for anything that it was not originally invented for.
Ericksonian hypnosis was created for therapeutic reasons only. Dr. Milton Erickson helped people with chronic pain and cured headaches. There is nothing improper with using hypnosis techniques for therapeutic purposes, as it will help people live better and more enjoyable lives. However, as far as the power of persuasion goes, we must use the type of hypnosis that was invented for persuasion to help us with the power of persuasion.
Plenty of people have spent gobs of money and endless hours on learning conversational hypnosis for all the wrong reasons. This is why over the last decade, many covert hypnosis students have forsaken conversational hypnosis and have begun to master the disguised forms of hypnosis, as it truly is the invisible styles of hypnosis that are most suitable for the power of persuasion.
If you take a shark out of the ocean, the shark will die because it has been removed from its environment. This same rule pertains to Ericksonian hypnosis because outside of a clinical setting, Ericksonian hypnosis will die and will not produce any results within the realm of covert hypnosis because it is a form of hypnosis taken outside of its environment. This means that if you want your hypnosis strategies to work, you need to first fully consider if the kind of hypnosis you are using was initially invented for what you are trying to accomplish.
